Deliverance is Coming

Luke 4:18-19

“The Spirit of the Lord (God) is upon Me (Jesus), because He has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

The poor in this verse are those who are poor in spirit, they need salvation. The ones that need deliverance are the ones that are sick, or afflicted, or burdened down. He will give sight back to those who have lost their way, or those who have failed to see the hand of God in their lives. Seeing with spiritual eyes rather than just physical sight. Liberty to the oppressed is anyone who has burdens too heavy to carry, such as mental distress or cares of this life. The year of the Lord’s favor is His ultimate deliverance and reimbursement for all that satan has stolen from us.

Jesus is our Deliverer and redeemer. Jesus is our Provider, Healer, and the one who will restore all that was lost.

Prayer:

Lord, we need You now more than ever. Our families need You now more than ever. Our friends need You now more than ever and our country needs You now more than ever. Deliver us precious Savior, Amen!
