Serving Our Lord

Colossians 3:23-24 ESV

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”

Whatever we do, whether it is a job, a business, or ministry, we are working to be a shining light for Jesus. We are not looking for praise of man, but when we honor God and are diligent, we will find favor with God and show a testimony of our godly lives to the world.

The verses encourage Christians to approach their work with diligence, honesty, and integrity, reflecting a Christ-like character. It calls for a change in perspective, urging believers to see their work as an opportunity to honor God and serve Him, receiving an inheritance from the Lord for our diligence.

Prayer:

Lord, all that we are is found in You. I pray we show forth Your glory and Your honor by the works that we do and the fruit that we bear. In Your name Lord, we work for You, Amen!
