Wherever You Go
Joshua 1:9 NIV
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
We live in tough times. Rarely can we depend on the purity of the news that we hear, most of it is skewed to fit the commentators way of thinking. Rarely can we depend on the honesty of many of the people in our city, county, state or even nation. Our only hope is in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and those who embody this Trinity.
Much like the times of Joshua as he assumed command of what most say was over two million people, times were tough and uncertain in the human thought process. God saw clearly what was about to happen and He wanted Joshua to depend solely on Him. God’s command for Joshua was Be strong, courageous. With those commands God added, do not be afraid and do not be discouraged because there will be opportunities to be discouraged. God’s last command to Joshua, if you will do what I say and trust solely on me, I will be with you wherever you go. That is a guarantee that pays dividends.
Prayer:
Lord, in times like these we need a Savior. In times like these cause the faith, trust, commitment, and courage to arise within us. If we will do this Lord, I believe we can borrow the promise that You gave Joshua; You will be with us wherever we go, and that means a successful journey. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen!
