Ever Interceding
Romans 8:34 ESV
“Who is the one who condemns us? Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the Father] for us.”
Sometimes we feel like we are alone, like no one knows what we feel, like no one understands what we are going through, nothing could be further from the truth. When we are alone, or we feel alone, Jesus is present and He is interceding for us. This verse is basically answering those feelings. Who can condemn us when Jesus died for us. Who can tower over us when the power that raised Jesus from the grave lives inside of us and that power never wanes, in fact it grows ever stronger in us. Who cares about what we may be going through except Jesus who intercedes for you and me continuously night and day. We are never alone; in fact, Jesus is prompting people to pray on our behalf all the time. Often, I will be sitting, or walking, or praying and our Lord will bring someone to my mind. That is my signal to pray for that individual. If our Lord does that in me, I know he is doing the same in millions of other people. People are praying for you that you never asked them to pray for you.
Prayer:
Lord, this morning some are hurting, and some are rejoicing. Lead those that are rejoicing to pray for those who are hurting. Be their strength and stronghold, an ever-present help in the time of trouble. In Your name Lord Jesus we ask, Amen!
