Worship

1 Chronicles 16:8-11 ESV

“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually!”

As the Ark of the Covenant (Representing the presence of God) was brought into its resting place, David set up singers and musicians to worship the Lord and David sang this Psalm to God. David asked the crowd.

To thank the Lord.

To call out to the Lord.

To testify of what the Lord has done.

To worship the Lord.

To boast in the Lord because He is everything to us.

To seek the Lord’s strength for ourselves and for others.

To seek the Lord’s presence not just once in awhile or at church, but all the time.

Prayer:

Lord, we praise You this morning for all that You have done for us. We glory in Your presence, and we give You the glory that You deserve. You have been our Hope, our Salvation, our Deliverer and our Redeemer. Be near to me today, Lord Jesus, be near to our families and friends. In Your name we ask Lord Jesus, Amen!
