Hope

Revelation 21:4 ESV

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Life in this world is a mixture of good and evil, which forces us to grapple with various tragedies. There are tears, sorrows, pain, sufferings, sicknesses, death, accidents, and natural calamities. All of creation groans, waiting for God’s full deliverance. The fallen nature of our world is evident, and everyone has experienced some form of suffering.

The Lord has promised to wipe every tear from our eyes because there will be no more death, mourning, sorrows or pain. Why? Because the fallen nature of this world will be changed into God’s eternal purpose that He has wanted for us all along; joy, peace, comfort, unconditional love, acceptance.

Prayer:

Lord, we are looking for the day of Your appearing when we will be with You forever. For now, we do experience all things of this life, but when You come back to rule and reign on this earth, all sorrows will be gone, and we will have eternal joy and peace forever. In Your name Lord Jesus we pray, amen!
