The Mind of Christ

1 Corinthians 2:16 ESV

“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him (from Isaiah 40:13)? But we have the mind of Christ.”

While no human can fully know God’s mind to “instruct him,” believers have access to a divine understanding through the Holy Spirit. This spiritual insight allows us to have a perspective and discernment that goes beyond human wisdom and understanding and it enables us to understand God’s will and spiritual matters, unlike those who rely solely on the world’s logic. Having the “mind of Christ” means aligning our thoughts, purposes, and perspectives with Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit which enables us to understand God’s will. We cannot know everything that God knows, but having the mind of Christ enables us to perceive and understand spiritual truths from God.

Prayer:

Lord, this morning, we look into Your words to find meaning and true life. In You Lord, give us the understanding that we need today, the perception to see through the fog of this world and know what Your desire is for us today. We ask for wisdom, knowledge and understanding even beyond the way we have always seen things. Make us aware of Your will and Your ways and help us put Your will into practice in our lives today. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
