Contentment 

Philippians 4:11b-13 

“…for I have learned, in whatever situation I am, to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and EVERY circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

Paul was saying that he knew how to find common ground in any and every situation. That contentment for Paul was only possible with Jesus. 

It’s difficult in this life with all the experiences that we endure both good and bad, to find that point where we can handle whatever comes our way. The good times are great, the times of peace are wonderful, but when disappointments come they seem.to deflate us. Finding the ability to handle all situations can only be found in the strength of Jesus. Help those that struggle with the circumstances of life to know that their sufficiency can be found in Jesus. 

Prayer:

Lord, we know we do not have to live our lives like we live on a rollercoaster with life’s ups and downs. We need you to help us find out contentment, peace and solace, and we know that can only come from you! Help us Lord Jesus and help us to help others as they face these trials of life. In Your name Lord Jesus, AMEN!
