Reality

Hebrews 11:27 ESV

“By faith he (Moses) left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured as seeing Him (God) who is invisible.”

Moses did not leave Egypt out of fear of the king, but because of his unwavering faith in the invisible God. Moses could not see God, but he walked with God as though He could see Him. This sets an example for us as a conviction in unseen things. This type of faith perseveres through hardship and opposition by keeping our focus on God’s presence and promises.

Faith is not about physical sight but about perceiving a deeper, spiritual reality in seeing the invisible God. The phrase “as seeing him who is invisible” refers to Moses’ intimate relationship with God, which gave him the confidence and courage to obey God’s call. Yes, in the beginning of Moses’s relationship with God, he stumbled a bit, but once in a relationship with God, Moses walked with God as if he could see Him at all times. This passage illustrates a profound example of faith in action, where our decisions shape us by inner conviction and relationship with God. Faith can inspire us to make bold decisions and endure hardships by keeping our eyes fixed on God not the circumstances that we face.

Prayer:

Lord, give us vision to see the invisible. Give us keen insight to trust You more and walk with You as if we do see You walking with us every step of the way. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen.
