The Inspired Words of God

2 Timothy 3:16-17 AMP

“All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; so that the man (woman, boy and girl) of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

There is much work to be done in the Kingdom, but this is not like a job, it is a privilege, an honor, a right to proclaim to the world the words of God. All scripture is breathed from God and inspired on the writers of the Bible, that is how we know the accuracy of the Bible. The spoken, read, or heard words of God is sure to complete us in our walk and witness. Paul says the word instructs us how to be who Jesus wants us to be and what He wants us to do. He says that the words of God convicts us of sin and corrects us and restores us. He says the words of God trains us in righteousness teaching us how to live the full lives that Jesus wants us to live. The words of God makes us complete and thoroughly equips us for every good work.

Prayer:

Lord, equip us in Your words. Make us ready to walk by faith and testify of Your goodness. Teach us how to defeat the enemy. Let Your words, wash us, purify us and set us apart to do Your perfect will. Prepare us daily in Your words, make known to us the way we should go and what to do when we get there. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
