Appetite for Righteousness

Matthew 5:6 ESV

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”

Righteousness is having a right standing with God. When we are righteous, we are justified, just as if we had never sinned. For those who want all of God and all that God has for them, we seek God and His righteousness, we  will be satisfied. We are not looking for justice necessarily in the worlds standards, but God’s justice in our lives and in our families and friends lives. We seek after justice for our daily walk with God that He will prevail, He will vindicate us. We seek His Kingdom and His righteousness to live and prevail in us. We desire more of Him each day. He is not just an entity, He is our all in all. We know that all good things come from Him, and we seek Him relentlessly. Because of our quest, we will be satisfied according to our Lord.

Prayer:

Lord, we want all of You and all that You have for us. We depend on You. We do not depend on the world’s system of justice, we depend on Your justice, Your righteousness, Your truth and Your standards. You are all that we have. In Your name Lord Jesus we seek You, Amen!
