Walking By Faith, Not By Sight

2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Our walk with the Lord is a faith walk. We are not sure exactly what will happen to do, who we will see, or the things that we will experience, so we trust in our Savior to lead us today. We have faith that we will go through the day and He will speak to us. We have faith that God is protecting us and our family, because we have asked for Him to do that. When we see the storms in our lives, we do not keep our eyes on the storm, but on Jesus, the Author and finisher of our faith. Not by sight means that we do not measure our circumstances by human reasonings, we trust God that He has our best interest at heart. Our own reasoning is deceptive, biased, flawed and skewed to keeping our eyes on the circumstances instead of on  the one who can deliver us from all circumstances, or He will at least hold our hand and walk us through our circumstances.

Prayer:

Lord, with You all things are possible. On my own I’m nothing without You. Lead me, guide me, direct my life. Help me to keep my eyes on You and not my circumstances. In Your name, Lord Jesus, I ask, Amen!
