Living in Harmony

2 Corinthians 13:11 ESV

“Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”

Why do we often want to make the church fit to our mold, instead of using the church to find common ground? It’s because we like our agenda, we want things to fit together to the way we see that is perfect in our eyes. Well, churches aren’t perfect, people are not perfect, Pastors are not perfect. So, what is the answer? We all try to fit together in the best way possible. I think as a church we need to find common ground in every situation. The teachings that I preach come from God, but the church has to be run by the body as well as the Pastors. Live in harmony, seek peace, find common ground.

Prayer:

Lord, You have called me to be a peacemaker. Help me to seek to restore, seek to comfort, seek to correct with love, to seek peace instead of controversy. The world is chaos, so help me to be the stabilizing force in my circle of influence and even with those who will come into my circle of influence later. In Your name Lord Jesus make me to be who You want me to be, Amen!
