Merry Christmas

Luke 2:6-12 NKJV

“So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

Today we celebrate the Savor of the world. It’s not about the tree or the presents, or that huge feast that some will have, it’s about Jesus the Christ, Immanuel (God with us). Today we celebrate the day that God chose to bring us a Deliverer, a Savior, our Redeemer and Lord. I ask that today, as you read the Christmas story, remember and worship the God who loves us so much that he gave His only Son to this world so that He would lead us back in right relationship with God. Today, the Savior is God’s gift, the gift that keeps on giving to you and me. Today celebrate God’s love that first appeared in a manger, that Baby is the Christ our deliverer and conquering King.

Prayer:

Lord, today we celebrate You. You are first and foremost of all the celebration that we will have with family and friends. You are the reason for this celebration; You are the reason for this season. We praise You Father for Your amazing unconditional love. We praise You Father God for the gift of life through Your Son. We praise You lord Jesus for coming to this earth to show us the loving Father God, for giving us His words and then giving Your life to set us free. In Your name Lord Jesus we praise and worship You today above all things, Amen!
