Philippians 2:3-4 NIV

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

Selfishness drives the common world. They feel like everything is about them, even if the subject matter is not about them. They equate everything on how it affects them. Paul is asking for the church at Philippi to be different from how worldly people feel and act. As Christians, we are supposed to look out for one another, care for one another and pray for one another. We should speak faith and love into those who may be going through tough times. We are to be kind, compassionate. Be different from the world’s standards.

Prayer:

Lord, You found me when I didn’t even know I was lost. You dusted me of, washed me free of sin with Your blood and cleansed my heart. Help me to be You to someone today. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
