Keeping My Eyes On Jesus

Matthew 6:33 ESV
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

In today’s society we seem to be in a quest to obtain things. So, before reaching for the stars, do this simple task first, look to God. He knows what we need, and He is providing what we need for our destiny.

The things that we feel we need, what does God say about them, do we really need them?  If it is something that we need, He will provide. If it is something that we need to fulfill our destiny, it is already on the way.

God will never give us a destiny without giving us everything we need to fulfill that destiny. That is a guarantee. We may feel like we need this or that or that we need this person or that relationship, but if we need it, God will provide it.

So, let’s get our eyes off of the things of this life and get our eyes on God and what He needs for us to do for our destiny. He is already providing what we need, trust Him.

Prayer:
“Father, when I say that I trust You to provide, that means that I will quit worrying about what I do not have and believe that what I need is on the way. If I try to make things happen on my own, I am sure to lose sight of You! If I lose sight of You I lose sight of my true destiny. Help me Lord to seek You continually before any desires that I have. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
