Faith

Hebrews 11:6 NIV
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”

Faith is believing completely in God and trusting God with every fiber of our being. Faith is also action. It is active and has to be progressive in our walk with the Lord.

Paul said we walk from faith to faith (Romans 1:17). We started out with believing faith and then receiving faith, we now have to move on with progressive faith in following God every step of our faith walk.

When we are in a relationship with someone we tend to relax, almost take them for granted. It cannot be that way with God. We have to keep moving, using our faith, stretching our faith for the things that God desperately wants to provide for us, but our lack of faith holds back His hands.

God is not only providing spiritual things for us, He is fighting battles for us, dispatching angels to keep us and care for us. He is trying to provide all the things we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). So, using our stretched faith, we trust God.

Our relationship with God is beneficial, he is looking out for our best interests at all times. So, applying our faith in God is not just stretching us, it is saying to God, “I want all that You have for me.”

Prayer:
Father, we look to You, we trust in You, we hold to Your unchanging hands. We understand, according to Your word, as we progress in our faith in You, we can trust You, and You can trust us. Help us to make the maximum effort to keep in step with You, not just because of what we can receive from You, but because You are everything to us. In Your name Lord God, Amen!
