Words that Heal

Proverbs 25:11 AMP
“Like apples of gold in settings of silver Is a word spoken at the right time.”

When someone says something to you that lifts your spirit, how do you feel? It’s priceless isn’t it? To Solomon it was seeing a beautiful silver bowl and in the shiny bowl a pile of fresh picked beautiful golden apples.

We may not be enthralled by golden apples in a silver bowl, but you get the pitcure. It’s that indescribable feeling of comfort, joy, and peace when someone says something marvelous to you. Well, as much as you may enjoy it, there are seven and a half billion people in the world just waiting for the same thing, a kind word on a tough day.

A word so fitting that it stops people in there tracks and they have the moment when they feel like all that is wrong is starting to be righted. Today, understand, God has a plan for you, He has a destiny with your name on it. His ways are not our ways but His ways will bring lasting peace and joy. Go out there and fulfill all that God has for you today and pass some along to someone else.

Prayer:
Lord, bring a word, a song, a hymn, a scripture today to all who are reading this. I ask You Lord to bring someone in their path today that will offer a smile, a word of encouragement, good news, that they will say, “what a great word, just when I needed it!” In Your name Lord, Amen!
