We Have Seen His Glory
John 1:9-14 ESV
“The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, yet the world did not know Him. He came to his own, and His own people did not receive Him. But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. “
The true light entered the world. Not with fanfare and great triumph but in humility and grace. He was a baby, born in a stable and laid in a feeding trough called a manger. He was and is the light of the world. Most of the world just does not recognize the light because of the appeal of the darkness.
When someone accepts His light, at that point, the darkness begins to fade. Once we see the light, we can recognize His glory, and we become born (again) of God. That means the old self is gone and the new Spiritual person, begins their life with God.
“The world was made through Him, yet the world did not know Him.” Amazing the world would rather believe in science, instead of believing in a mighty, loving, masterful, Creator. I would rather believe in a loving Creator than to believe all that we are living is all just an accident.
Prayer:
Thank you Father for the gift of life through Your Son the Light of the world.
