Proverbs 10:9 ESV
“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.”
Integrity is defined as steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code, or honesty. The word “securely” is defined as: free from danger or attack. Free from the risk of loss or safe. Free from anxiety, worry or dread.
Verse 9 tells us that those who walk according to a strict moral code and with honesty, will walk in safety. We can be free from fear because we are not going to fail, God upholds us because of our integrity.
Proverbs 10:9b
“but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.” Those that do not walk in integrity but choose to be careless, carefree and dishonest with themselves. They will be seen for who they are.
Prayer:
Father, help me to keep my feet on the straight and narrow way. Walking in integrity in a way that pleases You. Keep my feet from the wayward path and from wayward people!
