More Than Conquerors
Romans 8:37 ESV
“No, in all these things (tribulations, distresses, persecutions) we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
This verse emphasizes that we, through faith in Jesus Christ, not only overcome hardships and trials but experience a surpassing victory through these trials and temptations. Paul writes that the believers have a complete triumph over adversity, not just surviving but thriving in the midst of challenges, superseding our own expectations. Why? Because the Holy Spirit of God lives inside of us. We can do all things through Christ that strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Pay close attention to the words of Paul, “…we are more than conquerors…” That means that we don’t just get by or barely make it through, we flourish, prosper, succeed greatly in times of hardship and trouble.
Prayer:
Lord, I do not want a barely make it by attitude. I do not want to drag through the days, weeks and years. I want to thrive in this life no matter what this life serves up for me. I want to conquer and be more than a conqueror, I want to win knowing that You brought me through and brought me out a victor. Amen!
