The Spirit of God

Romans 8:11 ESV

“If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

This verse was meant to bring a hope to believers that there is a life after death. There will be a resurrection! For none believers, this life is all they have (according to their thoughts), there is nothing more after we die. Well, that is not true. Not only is there a life after death, there is a good life, an eternal life in the presence of our Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, forever, for those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior.

Looking deeper into this passage I see in us a power, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. That same power lives in us, quickening us that we have a hope and a future yes, but we also have the power of the Holy Spirit of God in us for this life as well, to be victorious, to be more than overcomers.

Prayer:

Lord, since that same power of God that raised You from the dead lives inside of us, nothing is impossible. In You name Lord Jesus, Amen!
