Come Into His Presence With Singing

Psalms 100 ESV

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into His presence with singing! Know that the Lord, He is God! It is he who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name! For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

I woke up this morning and I had a secular tune running through my mind. I was a bit shocked, even though it was not a bad song, because typically when I wake up, I have a Christian song or hymn playing in my mind. I decided to change the channel, so I began singing a Christian praise and worship song in my head. It stuck and I was able to relax for a few minutes and pray. I continued to allow the praise and worship song to run through my mind because I believe there is nothing sweeter than to come into the Lord’s presence with singing. God sees when we are singing with a heavy heart and He see when we are singing because of joy in our heart, He will bless both.

Prayer:

Lord, we come into Your presence this morning with joy in our hearts and a song on our minds and the lyrics on our lips. We enter your courts with praise, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to You. We worship You our King. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
