Your Will Be Done

Matthew 6:10

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done,on earth as it is in heaven.”

God’s Kingdom come

This is a portion of the Lord’s prayer. In it, we are asking for God’s reign (not a physical kingdom but a spiritual kingdom) to come in the hearts and minds of every believer in Christ. We are asking God for this world to be transformed by His presence and influence. 

God’s will be done

God has a perfect will and a perfect plan for every person. We are asking that God’s will be done in us, in our family, in our circle of influence, in our church, in our city, county, state, nation and the world. We want God’s perfect will to be done today.

On earth as it is in heaven

The perfection of heaven, the power, the blessings and the peace is already perfect in heaven, God made it that way. Now we are asking that that same perfection of God’s kingdom be established in us, in our hearts and minds and spirits. We are asking that His kingdom would be realized in our family, friends, circle of influence and the world in which we live.

Prayer:

Lord, today, we ask the Father that today that His kingdom would be alive and well in us. That His perfect and pleasing will would be done in us, always, just like it is perfect in His kingdom. We may be citizens of the United States Lord, but we who believe in You and have received You, are a part of a greater kingdom. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven today. In Your name Lord Jesus we ask, Amen!
