Reverential Fear of Our Holy God
Psalms 34:9 AMP
“O [reverently] fear the Lord, you His saints (believers, holy ones); For to those who fear Him there is no want.”
This reverential fear of the Lord is a form of our worship to our Holy God. He is not the man upstairs, the big guy in the sky, the keeper of the stars, the one looking over from heaven, as some may say. He is the All Mighty Holy God that has given us everything even to the point of sending His Son to earth to show us a way back to Himself. Then, His Son, laid down His life to bring us in right relationship with Himself. When we fall in love with our God and give Him the glory, honor and majesty that He deserves, we will not be in want, but all our needs will be supplied. God has made us all, and although we were born in sin, He provided a way back to Himself through His Son Jesus Christ so that we are now sons and daughters of our Holy God.
Prayer:
Father, forgive us for our callous ways. We wonder why we have lack, and it is evident that we have not honored You as You deserve. We worship, praise and honor You today Father, not just for what You can give us, but more so for what You mean to us and who You are to us, our Father. In the name of Jesus, we glorify You Holy God, Amen!
