Strength

Isaiah 40:30-31 ESV

“Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;  but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

This is God’s promise to strengthen Israel once again. When they returned to their homeland, God said He would be their strength. Notice the implications of those who think they are strong, but actually they are weak in one main area of their lives; they forgot how to wait on God. Waiting on God is not passivity, it is looking for God, seeking for God as if looking for lost treasures. God said, if they would seek after Him, wait on Him, He would give them wings like eagles, rising about their difficult situations. He said He would give them the strength to run with purpose and endurance and not become weary. He said that He would give them the ability to walk through their circumstances and not be beaten down with despair. If they would only wait on Him (actively seek Him).

Take note of this for our own personal lives. Take note of this to teach our children and grandchildren. Take note of this for America. If we would just wait for the Lord, seek the Lord as if looking for lost treasure, He will make us strong again.

Prayer:

Lord, we wait on You, so that our families can be blessed through us. If it is up to us to save America, we as the remnant of God wait for You Lord and seek Your face for America. Lord, save America from the degradation that it is under, so that we can become strong again in, You. In Your name we trust, Lord, Amen!
