In Christ Jesus

Galatians 3:26-28 ESV

“For in Christ Jesus you are all sons (and daughters) of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. “

In this passage, the Apostle Paul addresses the early Christian church in Galatia, where there was confusion regarding the role of the Jewish law and the inclusion of Gentile believers. Paul sets the record straight with equality that transcends race, gender, slave or free, male or female or Jew or Gentile. Through faith, everyone is a child of God in Christ Jesus.

Verse 27 says, “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” This transformation through our acceptance of Jesus Christ and baptism symbolizes the believer’s identification with Christ. Verse 28 says, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free, neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Paul dismantles social barriers that often define our worth and status. In Christ, these distinctions do not affect one’s standing before God, emphasizing that salvation and anyone. Do not  accept the limitations that people put on you!

Prayer:

Lord, we may feel limitations, but they are not walls that You put up, we put up those walls on our own and by satan putting limitations on us. You have broken down the walls of limitations so that we know who we are in Christ Jesus, sons and daughters of God. In Your name Lord Jesus, thank You, Amen!
