God’s Faithfulness

Psalms 36:5 ESV

“Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the clouds.”

Psalms 108:4b “…Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.”

God’s faithfulness is a central attribute of His character, reflecting His unwavering reliability, trustworthiness, and steadfastness. In the biblical context, faithfulness refers to God’s commitment to His promises and His consistent nature in fulfilling His word. This attribute assures believers of God’s unchanging nature and His dedication to His covenantal relationships with His people, and He wants that kind of relationship with each of us.

God’s faithfulness is a source of comfort and strength during trials and tribulations. Lamentations 3:22-23 offers hope in times of despair: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” This passage reassures believers that God’s faithfulness is renewed daily, providing fresh mercies and sustaining grace and the vastness of His faithfulness.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You that You do not regard our sins against us. Thank you for being faithful and true. Thank you for lifting us up with Your hands out of the pit of despair. Thank You for walking with us on this journey.  Thank You that when we are not faithful You remain faithful. In Your name Lord Jesus, we praise You for Your love, Amen!
