Your Will Be Done
Psalms 116:1-2 ESV
“I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because He inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on Him as long as I live.”
I am reminded this morning that the Lord hears me when I call out to Him in praise, in prayer, and in my times when I cry out for help. He is always there. He always hears, and He always answers. I know people who say that God does not answer every prayer, but if they are a child of God, He does hear, He does answer, sometimes we just didn’t get the answer that we wanted.
I don’t believe our prayers are filed away until God has time to answer them. I don’t believe God is stingy and does not want to help us. I believe that He is a God that seeks to lavish His children with the goodness of this life. We want more at times, but God knows exactly what we need.
I typically end my personal prayers with, Father, not my will, but Your will be done. I leave it to God because He knows what I need more than I know what I need myself.
Prayer:
Lord, I thank You because You do hear me when I call out in praise, in prayer and when I need help. I will call on You as long as I live because I trust in You, and that trust will not be ashamed. You will be done this morning in all who are reading this devotion, in Your name, Lord Jesus, Amen!
