Sometimes God Allows Us

Psalms 107: 4-9 ESV

“Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to a city to dwell in; hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in.Let them thank the Lord for His steadfast love, for His wondrous works to the children of man!For He satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul He fills with good things.”

Sometimes God allows us to be us. He allows us to rebel, He allows us to choose our own way, knowing that it is not going to be good for us. Why?  Because He is a good Dad. He loves us and He knows that we have to test the waters, so-to-speak. It breaks His heart to watch us in these times, but He never takes His eyes off of us, not now, not ever. Imagine doing this for billions of people at one time, yet He still gives everyone personal attention. He has a personal plan for each and every one of us. He knows the exact day and hour we will fail. He has the perfect moment to deliver us. This morning, Thank the Father for being a great “Dad”. Knowing that despite what happens in our days, years and decades. He is watching, waiting, longing for us to come home (Luke 15:20).

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for knowing me, seeing me, rescuing me, coming and getting me, bringing me home and providing exactly what I need. In Your name Lord Jesus, thank You, Amen!
