Open Doors

Colossians 4:3a ESV

“At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ…”

Paul wanted to make every opportunity that He could to reach souls for Christ. Paul is under house arrest while he was writing this letter, and he is still asking God to open doors. He was still in chains; he still had a guard so he was limited on what he could do. In the middle of all of this he is writing letters to people and to churches encouraging them, lifting them and sometimes even admonishing them all while being bound. That is a man with a passion and through this passion he is asking the church at Colossae to pray that he can have more opportunities to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Let’s forget about our circumstances and limitations and ask how we can reach more people and be affective for the kingdom and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What doors will God open for us next so that we can deliver the Gospel?

Prayer:

Lord, it is my desire to live for you, it is my desire to touch lives for you. Show me how to reach more people for You. We are in the greatest opportunities in this modern age of technology to touch lives around the world and never leave our home. Open up doors for me that I can reach more hearts and lives for You. In Your name Lord Jesus I ask with expectation, Amen!
