The Fullness of God In Jesus

Colossians 2:9 ESV

“For in Him (Jesus) the whole fullness of deity (God’s attributes and power) dwells bodily.”

When humanity just seemed to get it all wrong, God sent His Son. Jesus was not just a prophet; He was not just a good man, He was not just a man, He was God in flesh. God saw that we will never get it right on our own. He saw that something drastic had to be done in order to lead those who would follow back to Himself. This was not just a last-minute thought or idea; this was set forth from the very beginning. Why didn’t God come to earth sooner? The Bible tells us that Jesus came in the fullness of time or just the right time. This time was the result of divine planning, where all the necessary prophecies had been fulfilled, and the historical context was ideal for the spread of the Gospel. Who was Jesus? He was and is God incarnate, God personified. Jesus embodied everything of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus has all wisdom, all power and the personal ability to get us free from the evil one, ourselves or anything else that stands in the way of us getting to God. He is the fullness of God and everything that we need in this life to succeed and in life forever to be at peace forever.

Thank You lord for coming to this earth to show us the true way, the right way, and the only way back to God, where we belong. In your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
