With My Whole Heart, I Give You Thanks

Psalms 9:1-2

“I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.”

What does thanking God with our whole heart look like? Every fiber of our being should be giving God glory, honor and majesty. Every fiber of our being should be crying out in praise and worship. Then that spills out to our face, our words, our actions and deeds.

Recounting all that God has done for us is too numerous but remembering the highlights and thanking Him for all the miracles that we did not see or remember is a great starting point.

Lastly singing praise to God is something that we all should do no matter what we think we sound like; God loves to hear our spoken words and our song of praise and thanksgiving out loud. He basks in the praise that we offer up. Don’t let it be one song, make it a few songs, even if we sing softly, He hears, He knows, and He is exalted on high.

Prayer:

Lord, from the fruit of our lips we give You praise, glory, and honor. with our whole heart we thank you for the small miracles right up to the parting of the Red Sea miracles that have occurred in our lives. In Your name Lord Jesus, we give You praise, Amen!
