Unfailing Love

Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”

No matter what we have done, no matter what the world has done, no matter what time has brought to us, the Lord still loves us with an everlasting love. He is not like a human that gets mad and walks away, He stays with us through the tough times, the bad times, even the times when we do not like being around ourselves.

When I was very young, I went through a spiritual battle that I did not understand, it lasted just a few years. Even though I was brought up in the Pentecostal church, back then they did not talk about spiritual battle and how we fight in those battles. At that early age, if someone were to tell me that the battle is the Lord’s, then I would have had to ask, then why am I having to fight? I did not tell anyone, I was too young and afraid that if I told someone they would think I was out of my mind. One thing I knew through that time, The steadfast love of the Lord was always there. Every morning that I woke up during that time I was afraid of the battle of the day, but at the same time when I rose from the bed, I knew God still loved me, that kept me going, that kept me believing, that kept me fighting.

Prayer:

Lord, You have sustained me through the night watches. You have lifted me up since I was very young. You have stood by my side and ruled within my heart all of my life. One thing remains, You were always there for me, even when I felt alone, You were there. I love You because You first loved me. Your great love has seen me through many conflicts and anointed me through many victories. Thank You Lord Jesus, Amen!
