A Fresh Start

Psalms 51:10 ESV

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

David realized that he could not achieve purity on his own, He needed God to recreate in him a clean heart and a firm, unwavering “steadfast” spirit within him. This was the only way to get back into a right relationship with God, this was the only way to fit back into God’s plans and bring God glory, honor and praise. Sometimes we get off track, sometimes we stumble and fall, so we go to God and ask Him for a fresh start. Sometimes we just need to go to God for a checkup, to see if we are as close to Him as we possibly can be. So we to go to God as David did and get close to Him so that His glory will be our nature.

Prayer:

Lord, wherever we are at in our walk with You, recreate in us a clean heart and renew a right, pure, steadfast and unwavering spirit within us so that we can bring You more Glory. In Your mighty name Lord, Amen!
