Advancing the Gospel

Philippians 1:12 ESV

“I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me, (persecuted for Christ), has really served to advance the gospel…”

“Isn’t it amazing what we see in the Gospels and the Epistles that those who suffered persecution for spreading the Gospel, it ultimately spread the Gospel even more. Satan thought He killed Jesus Christ and actually it propelled our salvation experience with Jesus. Then he tried to hinder the Gospel, and he brought persecution and it furthered the spread of the gospel. That’s like trying to put out a grease fire on the stove by pouring water in the pan, it makes the fire explode. It doesn’t matter what satan tries to do it always backfires. Persecution killed the apostles and it spread the gospel further to other countries. If he tries to silence us by making bad things happen, if we have the resolve to keep going, God does greater things in us.

Prayer:

Lord, whatever we are going through and will go through, use our testimony to overcome and spread the Gospel message. Let others see in us a resolve to keep moving for Jesus that those who see us will marvel and glorify God. In You name Lord Jesus we ask, Amen!
