Prayer

Jeremiah 29:11-12 ESV

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.”

Our prayers are our communication with God. We ask and He listens, He talks and we are supposed to listen.

God already knows what will happen in the future. So, when we pray, He listens to our petition and then He lines things up in and around our lives to keep us on the right pathway. If our prayers are not His will, He shows us sometimes by events, circumstances, His words, and sound counsel. If our prayers are in His will, He will move heaven and earth to make it happen. We can see this move by circumstances. We have faith that He will change things in the proper time. He says; “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.”

Prayer:

Lord, when we pray, help us to listen more, talk less. Trust more and fear less. Praise more and wait on You. In Your name, Lord Jesus, we ask, amen.
