Power

Acts 1:8 ESV

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Power is the best thing to have to start off the day. After all, we fuel up the body for work or for a day out about. Should we not stir up the gifts that reside in us first thing in the morning. We are a living testimony to the Lord. We represent Him when we walk out into the world. What do people see in us when they hear us talk, how we communicate, the words that we use, the inflections of our tone, what do they hear, do they hear Jesus? What do they see when we do our job? Do they see diligence and commitment? Do they see Jesus in us? We were given the power of the Holy Spirit to come live inside us for a reason, to represent Jesus in us. Today, stir up the gifts of the Holy Spirit inside you.

Prayer:

Lord, I want to be a living testimony unto you. I want to be a reflection of Your glory, and not just a recipient of Your light but a reflection of Your light. I want to walk this world with purpose and meaning. I want my words to be seasoned with salt of the Holy Spirit. I want to convey the wisdom of God, to be the person that You wanted me to be when You put Your Holy Spirit inside me. In you name I pray, Lord Jesus, Amen!
