God’s Care for Us

Jeremiah 17:9-10 NIV

“The heart is deceitful above all thing and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”

Now, I know that at least a few will see this in the negative light. They will say in their minds, “Oh no, God is judging my heart and my thoughts, my actions, and my conduct, I’m in trouble.” For these and everyone else, see this in a positive light. God is searching our hearts to see the love we have for Him; He is seeing what is in our heart and how He can help to make a positive change, because from our hearts flow the issues of life. He examines our mind to see if there is anything that He can help us with, worry, fear, stress, and inward destructive thoughts where we feel like we are not enough. He is looking at our conduct, where we can make a change to have a more infectious personality to touch lives all over our known communities. He looks at our deeds, who we have touched, who we have blessed, who we have strengthened and encouraged, and He lavishes us with goodness because of our faithfulness.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being concerned for me, that You would look into my heart and know the thoughts of my mind. Thank You that You see my conduct, the way I carry myself, those who I have influenced. Thank You that You reward me for my deeds, and for those I have touched for You. While You are at it Lord, clean up anything in me that does not belong in me. Wash away anything that does not bring You glory and honor. In Your precious name, Lord Jesus, I ask, Amen!
