Our Rescuer

Psalms 30:1 NLT

“I will exalt you, LORD, for you rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.”

This verse reminds of me that in sixth grade we had a bully that was large. He looked like he was about a foot taller than everyone else and he had an attitude. He was quiet for the most part, until he felt like you were looking at him or when someone did not fear him. The only rescuer we had was Mrs. Hoffman, she had a way with him. She was calm, collective and non-combative but she was affective. She refused to let this bully take advantage of us. I took a page from her play book and I tried to just be calm with him, for the most part it worked.

God is greater, He doesn’t have to boast of his power, nor does He have to flex His muscles, the enemy just knows that God will not put up with his sneaky attacks on one of His children. Whatever your situation is, know God is coming to your rescue and He will REFUSE to let your enemy triumph over you.

Prayer:

Lord, we get bullied in this life by our enemy, but he is afraid of You, so be our Rescuer today please Lord. I’m asking that you rescue me, my family, my friends, and my loved one from the enemy. Be our deliverer, refuse to let the enemy push us around. In Your name Lord Jesus we ask, Amen!
