Not Ashamed

Romans 1:16 ESV

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”

Salvation only comes through Jesus Christ, He is the only way to the Father. We are not, or will never be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ because in this good news (the Gospel), contains salvation, a change, a hope and an assurance of life eternal with God. To proclaim this promise is an honor, a privilege. To speak the name of Jesus to the world is for His glory but for our benefit in reaching the lost for Jesus.

Never be ashamed to stand up for Jesus. I was reminded last week that we used to be called “Jesus freaks,” and I remember those days in my twenties when that title became popular. To that I say it is an honor and privilege for people to think that we are extremely proud to proclaim Jesus as the Christ and the Savior of the world, because that is exactly who He is to those who believe.

Prayer:

Lord, I pray that our life is a message that You Jesus are everything and in You everything consists. You are the giver of life, You are the sustainer of life. You are the Victor, the resurrected Lord, and in You is all the power to over come in this life and to enjoy eternity with You some day soon. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
