Rose Among Thorns

John 15:18-19 ESV

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

Most of us know what opposition feels like. It may manifest itself differently from one person to the next, and of course it feels differently from person to person because we are different and unique, we handle opposition differently.

In this life we are like roses among thorns. We follow the ways of Jesus, and people sometimes do not like that. We seek to glorify God in our lives and the enemy hates that. So, he brings opposition, hardships, sometimes threats or violence.

Remain roses among the thorns in this life, let Jesus shine through us!

Prayer:

Lord, You lived on earth to show us the way. You faced opposition at every turn. Your handled each situation with authority, strength and great composure. We need that Lord to maintain to be roses among the thorns. In Your name Lord Jesus we ask, Amen!
