God Speaks for the New Year

Isaiah 43:1b-2, 18-19 ESV
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

You are God’s prize possession, if you need for me to prove that to you, I can! As His prize possession, you come with a guarantee. Trust Him, obey Him, consume His word on a daily bases, and when you go through the testing floods you will not be overwhelmed. When satan shoots at you with his fiery darts, you will come out unburned, not even smelling like smoke.

As His prize possession, you have a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Forget what happened 5, 10, 15, 20 years ago, God is doing something brand new in your life. The challenge is, will you look for this New thing? Will you try doing it God’s way instead of your old way? Will you recognize when He lays out a new plan for you?

God is doing the impossible; rivers in the desert? Not impossible with God. He is laying out a new path in places that you have never been before Go ahead, let go, and let God lead you into blessings and peace in this new year.

Prayer: Lord as this year fades, help me to let go of the past and prepare for what You have for me in 2023.
