Psalms 40:1-3 ESV

“I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God…”

If you have ever been in circumstances that seemed impossible, draining, unfair, and out of control, God is there, call on Him. When you call on God, don’t make any demands, don’t be impatient, just give it to Him and wait, He is working, He is moving.

More times than not, He is moving people, changing scenarios, making things work for your good. If you have ever had to change someone’s mind and make them see your point of view, then you can understand what God is going through to pull you out of the pit of despair.

We want instantaneous results, but when God moves its deliberate, He is working all things for your good. 2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you…” (NIV) If you will wait on Him, trust Him, He will make your way secure and. He will put a new song in your mouth, a song of praise in your heart.

Prayer:
Father, come to my rescue. Be my deliverer, my rock! Help me to be patient under trial and steadfast in waiting on your deliverance.
