Psalms 19:9b-10
“…the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.”
David says that the judgements, the rulings of God, are always righteous, holy, fair, pure, without prejudice. As David reflects on this thought he begins to sing from his soul, from the depths of his spirit, “more to be desired are (Your decrees and judgments O God) more to be desired are they than gold, yes the purest of golds refined in the fire. Sweeter to my spirit are your words, sweeter than pure honey straight from the honey comb.”
