The Word

Colossians 3:17 ESV

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

Paul tells the church at Colossae to allow the words of Jesus to dwell in them in great abundance. Paul says that we should teach these words to each other, the things that we have received from the Holy Spirit, teaching makes things clear and concise. 

Often when a scripture becomes illuminated in our minds, we feel inspired. A word of wisdom here; first receive what God is giving you for you. Then in due time when the word has taken affect in you, then you can pass that word along to someone else. 

Sometimes in small group settings, someone will bring a word, some will bring a song or a hymn. 

Prayer:

Lord, we come before You as those entrusted with Your words — first to receive them with reverence, then to share them with wisdom and love. Enlighten our hearts with Your truth, that we may sing, teach, pray, and receive from You in unity. May Your Spirit guide our words and actions, so that we can minister to one another with compassion, clarity, and the power of Your presence. In
