Hope

Romans 15:13 AMP

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.”

Hope is rooted in the characteristics of our Lord. In fact, the Trinity brings us hope, because that is part of their characteristics or attributes. Considering that, Paul says that the closer that we get to God, the more hope we receive, and that with this hope comes joy (a deep sense of satisfaction and contentment) and peace (an inner calm and assurance no matter what is going on in the world). That is great, and we know this, but when we believe, deeper in our faith, the power of the Holy Spirit will help us to abound in more hope, joy, and peace. For those who are looking for more joy and peace in their lives, draw closer to this Holy Trinity. Let them live and abide in you daily. Let them permeate your lives completely. I know a lot of people who can use hope, joy and a lot of peace right now.

Prayer:

Lord, we need hope, we need joy and peace, and what is amazing about this, is it only takes drawing closer to You, closer to the Father, and allowing the Holy Spirit to infuse our lives. The more of You, brings us more joy and peace. In Your name, Lord Jesus, we need You more, amen!
