Faithful
2 Timothy 2:13 AMP
“If we are faithless, He remains faithful [true to His word and His righteous character], for He cannot deny Himself.”
Even if we are unfaithful, or lacking faith, God remains faithful to His cause and faithful toward us. Once a person is in Christ (by belief in Him), God remains faithful to that person—He keeps His word. If God were to break His promise to those who have believed in Him, that would be a denial of Himself and His righteous character. To those who fear that God is standing over them waiting to cast them out if they fail to have enough belief or if they are unfaithful in their walk with the Lord, Paul says that God always remains faithful. God’s faithfulness isn’t dependent on human performance but is an expression of His eternal and unchanging nature, ensuring the security of His promises to those who belong to Him. God’s character is unchanging and steadfast. He will not abandon His commitments or betray His own nature of grace and mercy.
Prayer:
Thank You Father that You never change, You never fail, and You are always faithful to us even when we seem to lose faith or trust in You. Thank You that You are the same yesterday, today and forever. We count on You as our anchor, our rock in which we find refuge. In Your name Most High God, Amen!
