Who Is Like Our God

Isaiah 44:6-7a ESV

“Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last; besides Me there is no god. Who is like Me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and set it before Me…”

In this passage, God speaks and makes a challenge to Israel, go ahead and compare me to other gods or worthless idols. Understand, idols in our lifetime include anything that takes precedence over God in our life, money, things, objects, cars. Sometimes we even put people before God. God must come first and foremost. Who is like our God? Can our wealth or can things save us daily as our God does? Can people, in themselves, keep us from danger or even from eternally being lost?

Last night I was praying for my family and all of you. Mostly I was thanking God for saving us, for redeeming us, for protecting us, for blessing us, only our God can do that.

Prayer:

Lord, there is none like You. There is only deliverance, redemption in You. There is only protection in You. Only You can redeem our lives, only You can draw us out of the pit. Only You can save us, Your people. Only You can save America. In Your name, Lord Jesus, we trust, Amen!
