My Light

2 Samuel 22:29 ESV

“For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness.”

There are things that we go through in this life that if we do not look to the positive, those things seem to take over in our lives. Those things in a sense, become darkness. Not that we are under a cloud, so to speak, but things seem to pile up and we cannot see clearly how to come out of these dark places in our lives. Jesus is our light and He always will be our light, but sometime we fail to see the light.

David had a knack of being able to clear away the darkness and see God. He did not let the darkness or the darkest times of his life dwell long before he diligently searched for the light. God never moves, He never changes and His light never grows dim, it is our perception that we feel like God has moved away from us. Determine to seek the Lord and He will turn your personal darkness into light.

Prayer:

Lord, these are dark times in the world, but we are not a product of this world if we call You Savior and Lord, we are citizens of Your Kingdom. As children of the light, enlighten our darkness and open up our spiritual eyes to see Your light of glory. Open up our spiritual eyes and see You have been working when we felt like all things have been standing still. Thank You for the light Lord, thank You for the light in my darkness. In Your name Lord Jesus, Amen!
